The SmartComfort VS 90 contains a variable speed blower fan, which can accommodate the Tempstar SmartComfort TXT+ air conditioning unit. The SmartComfort TXT+ leads the market on high efficiency central air conditioning. The unit operates using environmentally friendly 410A Freon instead of R-12, or R-22.
When the SmartComfort VS 90 furnace is combined with the SmartComfort TXT+ air conditioning unit, the system runs more efficient thanks to 2-stage technology.
When your home requires heat, the VS 90 furnace becomes active at a lower setting than normal, saving you money! If this is not enough to effectively heat up your house, the unit will automatically become 100% active, until the desired temperature is reached.
Similarly, if your home requires cooler air, the SmartComfort TXT+ will turn on in a lower energy mode first, and will only become 100% active if the air conditioning needs are not met within a time period of a few minutes.
